Skype Gets
iPhone In Shape
Shape services, maker of IM+ All-In-One Mobile
Messenger that combines the
most popular instant messaging systems MSN®/Windows Live
Messenger™, AIM®/iChat
Yahoo!®, ICQ®, Jabber® and Google® Talk
in one single client, releases a Safari
web application that permits users of iPhone to access the Skype
environment.
IM+ is designed for iPhone. In particular, says
SHAPE, for the touch screen
and the software harmonizes with the interface design of the iPhone.
IM+ works by having the iPhone user to log onto http://skypeforiphone.com
using
the iPhone’s Safari browser. After logging in, users can then
talk with their
Skype contacts or call any landline or mobile.
Quoting Shape Services CEO Igor Berezovsky: “Noticing the public interest for Skype
on iPhone, we decided to use
our mobile IM and mobile Skype experience and develop an application
for them;
this has also been a move towards our IM+ for Skype platform coverage,
It is
truly easy and convenient to access and use. We are looking forward to
hearing
some feedback from iPhone users. No tweaks are necessary.”
IM+ uses SkypeOut credits for global voice
communication and supports the
cost effective model says Shape. IM+ enables users of Skype Unlimited
or Skype
Pro plans to get nearly free calling for the iPhone to any PC loaded
with Skype
or any landline or cell phone number.
NOTE:
You can get a
Free Skype Download at this link. This includes its free
service and another incredible free offer.
IM+ for Skype also supports Blackberry,
Pocket PC, Palm, Symbian and J2ME
devices. Shape says the application will work in any network and
doesn’t
require Wi-Fi. By network, I assume they mean any data network.
For a limited time
IM+ for Skype
iPhone version is being offered to iPhone users for free.
